In Cervantes famous novel, Dulcinea is the true love of Don Quixote. In that romantic tradition, Chapel Dulcinea allows couples to use their chapel for free—making it one of the few free wedding venues in Austin. However, the price isn’t the main reason to consider a wedding there. The setting is breathtaking. The chapel is set atop a hill in southwest Austin and surrounded by trees. As I pulled up, the sun was setting over the hill country, and I was greeted by a curious deer. I feel profoundly grateful that my work takes me to such lovely locations. Twinkly lights led the way to the secluded chapel. Yes, a November wedding in the chapel is chilly, to say the least, but it warmed my heart to serve as officiant for this amazing couple. They courageously braved the cold in order to declare their love and ring the chapel bell!
